Sterling Vacation Homes Philosophy
We believe you should know exactly what vacation home you are renting so we have gone to great lengths to show
you our Orlando vacation homes exactly as they are when you arrive in Florida to enjoy them.
You don't have to guess or hope that you will get a villa like the one advertised. The villa you see advertised is
the villa that you get. Look at multiple views of each room, pool, and spa by clicking on a property to the left.
Sterling Vacation Homes Company Expansion
Since we purchased our first Florida vacation home, Dolphin Springs, many families have enjoyed vacationing in our
private homes just as much as we do. Increased demand prompted us to purchase Forest Springs then, Formosa Springs,
our first 7 bedroom home. Things continued to progress from there. We soon found that even with several homes, there
was no vacancy for us when we wanted to stay in Florida, so it was time to buy again.
We purchased another seven bedroom home, Captain Nemo’s. We realized that many of our guests enjoyed vacationing with
their extended families and we continued to see an increase in requests for homes that can accommodate even more…
So we purchased our first eight bedroom home, Tigger’s Tree House.
Now we find ourselves with the task of booking five vacation homes and taking care of all our guests. This has become
more than a full time job for us. In order to continue ensuring a high level of service for our guests, we hired Joanie Wilson
to take reservations and provide customer service to our guests. With Joanie on our team now, it gives us more time to focus
on the homes themselves. - the decor, renovations, and maintenance. Also upgrades like adding Kiddie pools, landscaping,
and of course, finding more great vacation homes.
Joanie, our cousin and has worked with us for over five years. She has vacationed in Florida with our family many times and
being a mother, she knows the challenges of traveling with children. Joanie brings to Sterling Vacation Homes over five years
experience as a Reservation Supervisor at one of the largest resorts in the cottage country area of Ontario, Canada. Most of all,
she considers Sterling Vacation Homes a family business that she is a part of, which is exactly what it is. We believe she will
be a great asset to our Sterling Vacation Homes family, and look forward to working with her for many years.
As we move into the future, we look forward to making our vacation homes a part of family history for many more families. We will
do this by providing a home away from home for many wonderful family reunions, weddings, family vacations and memorable
moments that happen so rarely in our lives but mean so much.

Recent Additions – December 2008
Sterling Vacation Homes has just grown again. It was a little faster than we were expecting but the opportunity to purchase two more
vacation homes right across the street from our Captain Nemo’s villa was an opportunity we could not pass up.
Many of our guests wanted to travel with more people than one 7 bedroom vacation home could hold so now we have three 7 bedroom
vacation homes on the same court and all less than 2 miles to Disney. These three vacation homes are now the perfect place to
accommodate extended family vacations, wedding parties, and family reunions.
It has been a challenge getting two new vacations homes set up and into our rental program at the same time, but it has also been fun
designing many new themed bedrooms for our guests to enjoy. Our new vacation homes are Prince Charming’s Palace and Tinker Bell’s Tree House. Prince Charming’s Palace has a royal theme with bedrooms designed especially for Prince Charming, Cinderella, and little princess.
Tinker Bell’s Tree House theme is based on forest and gardens and of course you will find little Tinker Bell.
We hope you will enjoy our new vacation homes for many years to come.

Vacation Homes History
My husband and I have been vacationing in the
Orlando area and Florida for over nineteen years and we love it.
Over the years we have stayed at a broad range of accommodations,
enough to know exactly what we like in a vacation property.
Vacation time is something we look
forward to during the working time of year and how our vacation time
is spent and that we enjoy it is very important to us.
We vacation in each of our homes for extended
periods of time and therefore we require all
the amenities of home. These homes are truly our home away from
home. Before we purchased our homes we made a list of the most
desirable features and made sure our homes included every one.
At a hotel or condo
villa the pool is not private, is usually some distance from your
room, is often cooler than one would prefer, and has specific hours
of operation. We wanted a private heated pool, just seconds
away from our room, with unlimited hours of operation.
At a hotel or condo
the spa has specific hours and many do not allow children. So,
there I am, not swimming in the pool because it too cold and I am not
relaxing in the spa because the children are playing in the pool.
Our vacation home spas are open 24 hours a day. Both adults and
children love relaxing in the spa after a long day of walking at the
parks. Another very important benefit of having your own
private spa is that once the children are asleep you can go out to
the spa and enjoy the peace while the children are safely asleep just
inside the house. It sure beats having to sit quietly in your
hotel room and not even turn on the TV for fear of waking the
children.
Our vacation homes
are all close to Disney. Distances vary from 2 miles to 8
miles. When it takes ten minutes or less to travel to Disney
property you arrive before anyone asks “Are we there yet?”
Vacationing at a
home is usually less expensive than a hotel and this is especially
true if you have five or more in your party and therefore require two
hotel rooms.
We like to eat out
as much as anybody, but after a few days, eating out for three meals
a day is expensive, time consuming, and monotonous. We like at
least being able to eat breakfast and evening snacks at home. A
proper kitchen also allows you to pack a picnic lunch or just have a
leisurely meal in the lanai.
A fully equipped
kitchen is an absolute must. We have stayed at hotels that
billed a fully equipped kitchen and I couldn’t even heat up food in
the microwave because there were only Styrofoam plates. My
kitchens have all of the amenities of home, which makes traveling
with young children and teenagers much easier and less expensive.
We wanted a vacation
home with room to roam. It is difficult to stay in a 300 square
foot hotel room for more than a few days. At over 2000 to 5000
square feet our vacation homes have ample room to roam. You are
not secretly wishing, even for a minute, that you could be back at
home snuggled up in your favorite chair with a cup of tea or coffee.
One of the greatest
features of a private vacation home is that there are activities for
all ages. All of our vacation homes have a games room which
includes a full sized slate pool table, seven foot air hockey table,
and foosball. There are numerous TV’s, DVD players, and VCR’s
so you do not all have to watch the same channel. Try doing
that in a hotel room. There are plenty of toys for the younger
children and story books for bedtime. High chairs, strollers,
and Pack’n’Plays are standard children’s features of our
vacation villas.
We enjoy vacationing
at a real Floridian villa. It doesn’t feel like Florida
unless you stay somewhere with vaulted ceilings, a bright stucco
exterior, surrounding palms and typical Floridian vegetation.
These are some of
the reasons why we enjoy our homes and we hope that your visit to
Orlando, Florida will be as exciting and relaxing as has been our
experience.
